Welcome to Mountain Breeze Kennels!
My husband and I live in the beautiful San Luis Valley in south central Colorado. We have a small farm with chickens, ducks, geese and 3 goats for our CMDR Colorado Mountain Dogs to protect and raise their pups with! This amazing dog breed was started 15 years ago by Wendy Francisco. She saw the need for small farm LGDs that have excellent temperaments, are people friendly and that wander and bark less. That need was filled with the selective breeding of these wonderful dogs that have the natural ability to protect their charges, whether it be livestock or children, or both!! At this time, our dogs at Mountain Breeze Kennels are 3rd generation CMDR Colorado Mountain Dogs.
Pups will be raised with livestock, so they will be ready to start their new jobs! These dogs are also our pets, so they have plenty of human interaction and love!
Gretta is our first German Shorthaired Pointer and is a beautiful dog!! She had her first litter of AKC pups in November of 2023 and she did beautifully with 11 pups!! We are retaining one of the pups, a beautiful liver roan girl, Mountain Breeze's Elsa. These pups are raised in our home with plenty of socialization and early training!
